With more than 35 years of continuous improvement and innovation Feat Group has become a leader company within the field of steel forging. We meet and exceed the needs of our customers as never before. The company presents a unitary structure at its top but it branches into different divisions that have reached an high level of specialization. Our aim is to provide our products and technical service, anywhere in the world we are called.
Feat Industriale is the group’s headquarters, where the main production unit is to be found, together with the technical offices and group management. Feat has been carrying out steel pressing for 40 years and exports its products all over the world. This long activity has enabled it to acquire know-how which is unique in its sector and which has made it a leader at an international level. During this development, specific experience has been obtained in the production of components which are destined for OEM companies. As it is a medium-sized company it has always been possible to maintain strong ties with both the owners and the managers of Feat, thereby creating the best conditions to give every client the necessary treatment for its own needs.
FDP is the commercial division and has two main functions. The first consists of handling the mechanical components produced by Feat’s qualified pool of suppliers. Naturally, this involves Feat’s technical office, quality control and logistics departments. The second task consists of designing and supplying pressing lines and involves installation, know-how of presses and training. The technology used is the same as that used by Feat itself and to date industrial plants have been created in Italy, Russia, India, South Africa and Sweden.
Metalmeccanica is a division specialized in the moulding of axis-symmetric parts by the use of fully automated high-speed presses. Hotmatic parts are shaped in close die, so they have no external flash nor any draft. The surface is much smoother than that of conventional forgings, structure is ideal and mechanical properties excellent. Tolerances of + - 0.3 mm are ordinary. Machining allowances generally amount to only 1 mm per side. Parts are forged so close to their final shape that finish machining can be done with a single cut per surface. Automatic high-speed operation (80 - 100 parts a minute) cuts direct production and labour cost drastically. Machining cost are low because parts are forged to closer tolerances. Rejects are sharply reduced in comparison with conventional processes as a result of fully automatic operations.
Our task is to provide ready-to-use mechanical components, so it is necessary to apply adequate machining operations, for finishing and testing, to unrefined parts. 3 vertically-organised divisions have been created to ensure the greatest levels of competence. The first concentrates on the creation of valve components, capable of processing high-alloy materials, producing addition of hard metal, to the point of designing and assembling terminated and customised valves. The second concentrates on the processing of components for high-pressure hydraulic cylinders and on large-size parts made of heat-treated steels which are required for the earth-moving sector. The third conducts the more refined ‘high-precision’ operations typically for parts transmitting movement. The machinery and solutions employed are maintained constantly in step with technological innovation and are set out in order to obtain the greatest levels of productivity or flexibility, depending on need.
ELD is a leading global designer and manufacturer of components for industrial lifting. It has a wide range of standard products for chain, wire rope and crane. It can also develop customised items to meet its customers’ every needs. Feat provides the link with the highest competence in the provision of forged elements of quality and safety.
DGM ENGINEERING s.r.l. is proposed as a leader in the design and implementation of special equipment and services related to the lifting industry : light, heavy, shipbuilding, offshore construction, transport and nuclear power ...

Our strategy tends to create a lasting presence in the countries in which we work. The first step is that of opening a technical and sales office to assist our clients and develop the markets of interest. Subsequently we set up logistics centres to provide the necessary service. But, with the right conditions, the greatest ambition is that of creating international production units, thus integrating Feat’s resources with those of the location in question.
